Jewelry boards and trees are adorable ways to display beautiful jewelry, but the best thing about them is... YOU CAN DIY THEM! This jewelry board is made out of foam-core, cardboard, fabric of choice, and push pins.
I love Ikea hacks. Ikea is a store with chic and customizable pieces, that you can customize even further if wanted. Take a nightstand for example. Why buy a nightstand if you could make this innovative nightstand easily with two of Ikea's 11 3/4" by 10 1/4" white floating shelves (from the "Lack" collection) for only $13.98 ($6.99 each)! This hack has a nice surface for things such as your alarm clock, or a small lamp, or a frame. A few inches down from the bottom of the first shelve is the surface of a second shelve, a useful slot to hold books, notebooks, or other things needed for easy access. Underneath the nightstand is a gap between the bottom of the second shelf and the floor for a basket to store larger items. When putting up the shelves, just follow the instructions that come with the shelves. Penciling in where to put the nails makes things a whole lot easier, but make sure when doing this, keep marks a level and straight. When hanging the shelves on the wall, I found it helpful to do the bottom one first due to the angle in which one must turn the shelf in order to hang it. Thanks so much for reading! I have not updated for this summer much, for I've been doing lots of camps, and going on vacation. However, I will start trying to post at least once a week.
